7th phase of We-Auto distribution held

The 7th phase of the We Auto distribution was held at FCDP on 12th april Rev. Fr. P. S. George (Director, BREADS), was the chief guest and flagged off the autos. The new e-rikshaws were handed over to six women namely Mrs. Sree devi, Mrs. Anita, Mrs. Mary Shobha, Mrs. Mareena, Mrs. Mary Sebastian and Mrs. Sushama Sundar. Rev.Fr. Stephen Mukkattil (Rector, Don Bosco, Thope), Mrs. Agnes John (Chairperson,FCDP), Mr. Shibu .S ( Managing Director, Mahindra) Mrs. Veronica Antony (President, TMS) and Rev. Sr. Annie Joseph spoke on the occasion. Mrs. Irene Rajan (beneficiary, WE-Auto) shared her experience as an auto rikshaw entrepreneur. During the function, Rev. Fr. P. S. George honored Mr. Anil Victor for his service as Trainer. Present were also Fr.Joby Sebastian (Director, FCDP-TMS), Fr. Jithin Mattamundayil ( Assistant Director, FCDP), Sr. Mary K (Assistant Director, TMS), FCDP-TMS Board & Staff members.

The project aims to generate income for women, take women out of the stereotypical career path and mainstream their workforce. So far 25 electric autorickshaw have been to given women in the coastal area of Kollam as part of the project.
