EXPANDING BOUNDARIES ; EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES TRAINING FOR SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOODS

The 9th phase auto distribution of We-Auto, a women empowerment initiative led by the Fishermen Community Development Program (FCDP), took place at the FCDP office on October 24, 2024. The project aims to bring coastal women into the mainstream of society, breaking away from traditional employment stereotypes and making them financially independent. Mrs. Gretta Raju (Executive Manager, FCDP) welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Agnes John (Chairperson, FCDP) presided over the event, Mrs. Jasmine and Mrs. Geetha George received autos under the We-Auto scheme. Fr. Baiju Julian (Vicar General, Diocese of Quilon) handed over the keys to the beneficiaries and flagged off the vehicles. Fr. Jithin Sebas tian, Director (FCDP-TMS-FCDS) Mrs. Laticia Martin (President, TMS) Dr. Thomas William( Board Member, FCDP) and Sr. Mary K (Assistant Director, TMS) conveyed greetings to the participants.
