DENGUE AWARENESS CLASS HELD

FCDP, in collaboration with Bishop Benziger Nursing College, Kollam, hosted a Dengue Awareness Class on July 27 2024 at FCDP Hall. Almost 60 participants attended the informative session, learning about dengue fever's causes, symptoms, and prevention methods. Miss. Sree Lakshmi and Miss. Shamsiya led the class, emphasizing the importance of mosquito control and early detection. Dengue fever's severe forms, such as dengue hemorrhagic fever and dengue shock syndrome, were also discussed. Participants learned about the Aedes mosquito's role in transmitting the disease and how to eliminate breeding sites. The class covered proper diagnosis, treatment, and management of dengue fever. The session aimed to educate and empower individuals to combat dengue fever in their communities.
