Children’s Day Cycle Rally

The chief guest for the programme was Mr. K.P. Sajinath (Chairperson, Child Welfare Commission, Kollam). Don Bosco Youth Forum, the youth wing of FCDP, in collaboration with Rotary Club of Thangassery conducted a cycle rally on 13th November 2021 in which more than 100 youths participated. The rally was flagged off by Shri. Kollam Madhu, Deputy Mayor of Kollam from Kochupilammoodu junction to Kollam beach via Chinnakkada, Vaddy, and Thangassery, was winded up with a formal function. The aim of the programme was to generate awareness about the rights of children as atrocities against them surge day by day. Don Bosco Youth Forum members, Ms. Maneesha James welcomed everyone for the formal function chaired by Adv. K. P. Sajinath, Chairperson CWC. Adv. K.P. Sajinath spoke about the organizations working for the welfare of children like, Child Rights Commission and Child W e l f a r e C o m m i s s i o n . Representatives from Don Bosco Youth Forum, Ms. Meleena Andezhhan and Ms. Ancy Andrew spoke about the issues of children and atrocities faced by them. Mrs. Agnes John, President, TMS, offered her felicitations. Mr. N. Tomy (Councillor, Pallithottam), Fr. Joby Sebastian (Director, FCDP & TMS), Mrs. Agnes John (President, TMS), Mr. Vipin Kumar (President, Rotary Club of Thangassery), Mr. Georgie Philip (Secretary, Rotary Club of Thangassery) and Mr. Ambili S. (Assistant Governor, Rotary Club of Thangassery) were present at the function.
