Empowering Women and Fishermen Communities

In a significant step towards women empowerment, the 10th phase of the We-Auto distribution ceremony was held on August 30th at Kodimaram Ground, where two autos were handed over to Mrs. Tressa and Mrs. Celin. This initiative aims to enhance the livelihoods of women by providing them with a means of sustainable income generation. The autos will enable the beneficiaries to venture into transportation services, thereby promoting economic independence and self-reliance. This program provides skill development training and capacity-building programs for fishermen, enhances access to markets and improves fishing infrastructure, promotes sustainable fishing practices and environmental conservation, and offers support services including healthcare and education. The We-Auto program and our involvement in the Fishermen Community Development Programme demonstrate our commitment to fostering community development and promoting economic growth among marginalized groups.
