Indiana Malayalee Association Scholarship—First Phase

The first phase of Indiana Malayali Association Scholarship for children of fisher folk was inaugurated by Dr. Sujith Vijayan Pilla (hon. M.L.A, Chavara) in a function held at FCDP on 16/11/2021. Mrs. Agnes John (TMS President) gave the welcome address followed by the Presidential address by Fr. Joby Sebastian (Director FCDP and TMS). In the inaugural speech, Dr. Sujith praised the effort of IMA in supporting the higher education of children of Fishermen. The scholarships were given away by Dr. Sujith, the hon'ble MLA. The scholarships were given to Ms. Sajeena. J, Ms. Riya T, Ms. Jeni V and Ms. Reejamol. During the function, Certificates for those who successfully completed the computer training course were also distributed. It was given away by Rev. Fr. Joe Fernandez (Director, Boy's home) and Sri. N. Tomy( Councilor, Pallithottam ). Rev. Sr. Mary Karuvelil ( TMS asst Director) extended felicitations and Ms. Sanjana proposed vote of thanks. In 2019 too Indiana Malayali association had given a scholarship worth 7 lakh through FCDP. The speakers thanked Indiana Malayali association for their generous intervention in supporting the children of fisher folk Community. Present at the function were also over 70 representatives and well wishers besides the board and of FCDP and TMS.
