Theeraravam – Launch of New Projects and Onam Celebrations

The inauguration of new projects, jointly organized by the Fishermen Community Development Programme (FCDP) and Theeradesa Mahila Society, took place on August 30 at 5:45 PM at the Thope Kodimaram Ground. The major initiatives launched included WINGS, WE-SEVA Kendra, and "ALAKAL"WE-AUTOS Season 2 . Additionally, the We Care coupon draw was conducted, and beneficiaries of the We-Auto “Alakal” (Season 2) project were honored. The felicitated guests included Fr. Francis John, Francis Xavier (Managing Trustee, S.S Samidhi),Mrs. Linju Lawrence, Mr. Jackson Benny, and Mr. Alfin. As part of the program, Theeraravam Onam Celebration was organized, featuring cultural performances, including a grand Thiruvathira. The event was graced by the presence of Rt. Rev. Bishop Stanley Roman, A. A. Rahim MP, M. Noushad MLA, Janab.Kadakkal Abdul Aziz Moulavi, Bodhendra Theertha Swamiji, Dr. G. Mohan (Superintendent, Bishop Benziger Hospital), Mr. Ernest, Mrs. Bindu Krishna, Mrs. Agnes John, Mrs. Laticia Martin, and Fr. Saji Elampassery, along with honorable councillors, priests, and religious dignitaries. The newly launched projects are expected to create pathways for empowerment and self-reliance within the coastal community.
