WELivE workshop for Kitchen Gardening

A workshop was held for the women of Mundakkal West to encourage and support them to begin kitchen or roof top gardening, as per the covid protocols. Mrs. Edna Freddy, the resource person, shared her experience and provided knowledge required for kitchen and rooftop gardening. Application forms along with vegetable seed kits were distributed to the women members. This is the second workshop being organized as part of Welive (Women Empowerment through Livelihood & Entrepreneurship), a new project under the Fishermen community development program, begun in June 2020. The project aims to empower the coastal women to obtain sustained income through entrepreneurship development. We wish to support 60 women in the first year to begin kitchen or roof top gardens as a result of the programme.
