Don Bosco under 19 Sevens Football Tournament

“Don Bosco Under 19 Sevens Football Tournament" was organized by Don Bosco Youth Forum under the leadership of Fishermen Community Development Programme (FCDP), on Sunday 16/04/23 at Don Bosco Boys’ Home. The two-day tournament brought in participation from a total of 8 teams from the coastal areas of Kollam. Mr. Sajeev Soman (Ward Councillor, Udaya Marthandapuram) inaugurated the event. In the ceremony presided over by Deacon Rubin Mathai, Fr. Joby Sebastian (Director, FCDP-TMS) congratulated the contestants. Kumari Sruthi gave the welcome and Shri Sabu delivered the vote of thanks. Team members Black Gold (Jonakapuram), Don Bosco FC (Mundakkal), Yuvadhara (Kaikakkara) and Jogo Bonito (Kavanad) entered the semi-finals in an exciting match. The final match of “Don Bosco Under 19 Sevens Football Tournament" was held on Monday 17/04/23 at 3.30 pm at Don Bosco Boys Home Ground. Mr. Kuruvila Joseph (Councilor, 42 Mundakkal Ward) inaugurated the event. Ms. Anisha B. Chacko (Project Head, FCDP), and Mr. Sunil S (Project Coordinator, FCDP, presided over the function. Fr. Joby Sebastian (Director, FCDP-TMS) congratulated the winning team members. Ms. Roshal gave the welcome. Mr. Subin delivered the vote of thanks. Jogo Bonito won the first prize with three goals against Don Bosco FC (Mundakal). TMS Assistant Director - Sister Mary K, Don Bosco FA Coach - Shri Innocent S (Aji), FCDP Coordinator - Mrs. Greta Raju, Shri. Sunil S (Manager, FCDS), DBYF Coordinator - Mrs. Mary John Kennedy, and DBYF animators, Mrs. Princy Edison and Mrs. Selvi Antony provided the background support for the success of this tournament
