Report of the Inaugural Ceremony

The Inaugural ceremony of the X Batch of DB.Tech, Kollam commenced with the lighting of lamp by Very Rev Fr. Joseph Sugun Leon ( Coordination of Ministries, Director (BCC),Secretary, Commission for Proclamation,Ecumenism & Dialogue,KRLCBC ) on 28-10-2015 . The function was blessed with the auspicious presence of several dignitaries. They are Very Rev. MSGR.Ferdinand Peter ( Director – Benziger Hospital, College of Nursing ) , Rev.Fr. Thomas Mekkadan SDB ( Parish Priest, St.Stephen’s Church, Kollam ), Rector.Fr. Sunny Uppan SDB ( Centre Director, DB.Tech, Kollam ) Smt. Jain Lawrence ( Chair Person –FCDP ).

Rector.Fr. Sunny Uppan ( Centre Director, Kollam) welcomed all the dignitaries present on the dais and participants from Child Line, FCDP, staves of DB.Tech & students. He mentioned upon the process of training and what this training expects from the students. He even highlighted the societal change to which this program is connected.

The Chief Guest Very Rev. Fr. Joseph Sugun Leons motivated everyone to actively participate in the training to get benefited. He also present a power point session about LAUDATO SI : ON CARE FOR OUR COMMON HOME , Is the new appeal from POPE. FRANSIS. Fr. Sugun explained the need for caring our common home throughout the session.

Rev. Fr. Thomas Mekkadan provided the Presidential Address. In his speech, he acknowledged Fr. Sunny and all the staves of DB.Tech, Kollam for their commitments.. Follwed by many cultural cultural activites performed by DB.Tech, students. In the end Ms. Shahira.SS ( Trainer- Retail ) offered a vote of thanks to all. She thanked all the invited guests and participants for gracing the occasion by their solemn presence.
