Industrial Visit

A field visit was organized on 16th March, 2015 at RP Mall located in Kollam for Retail Domain students undertaking training at DB Tech, Kollam A group of 40 students of Retail Management accompanied by 3 faculty members (Ms.Shahira, Mrs.Smitha, Mr.Misnad Muhammed).They checked into RP Mall after undergoing security check. The purpose was to make the trainees aware about the mall culture, practical exposure of different formats of retail sector and various sections of a retail store.

Our trainees were inspired to take up the jobs as they were pleased by the pleasant behavior of the staff. The executive look and the way they carry out things attracted them to join the firm. Calm and quiet atmosphere charmed them. Though they were afraid initially they managed to mingle enthusiastically.

Mr. Ramgopal, Manager explained about retail jobs. Our trainees got valuable information about Retail Marketing. It was really informative and useful. We could see the working staff really concentrated. It’s a leading shopping mall in Kollam, which contains many shops. It was a wonderful experience for our trainees. They were eager to examine all sections. It was very informative and enjoyable day.
